Who is responsible for your information

Akiran Career Institute decides how the information collected through this website is used. Our registered office is in Dwarakanagar, Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, India. This policy is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

When you request a callback, through the form or in the chat:

  • the student's name and a mobile number
  • the course and the way of studying you are interested in
  • the student's current class
  • your town or area, if you choose to tell us
  • a record that you agreed to be contacted, and when

When you use the website chat:

  • the messages you type and the page you were on. Please do not share passwords, bank details, health details or other sensitive information in the chat.

When you visit any page:

  • technical details such as your IP address and browser type, which our server uses to deliver the page, limit abuse and keep the website secure.

If you go on to join us, we collect more at admission, such as parent or guardian details, email address, academic records and fee records. We use these to run the admission and the course.

Why we use it

  • To call or WhatsApp you about the courses, class timings, fees, scholarships and admissions you asked about
  • To let a counsellor read your chat before calling you, if you requested a callback from the chat
  • To answer your questions in the chat
  • To process an admission and run the course, if you join
  • To protect the website and meet our legal duties

We collect and use callback details only with your consent. We do not sell your information and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this website.

Children and students under 18

Many of our students are under 18. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian should fill in the form and give consent. The form asks you to confirm this. We do not track children's behaviour on this website or show them targeted advertising. If you believe a child has given us details without a parent's knowledge, please contact us and we will delete them.

Who can see it

Your details are seen by our counsellors and the staff who handle admissions. We share information only where needed:

  • Our hosting provider, Hostinger, runs the server this website and its database are stored on.
  • Phone and WhatsApp (Meta) carry our calls and messages to you.
  • Chat messages are answered by an AI model. By default it runs on our own server. If we connect an outside AI provider, such as Anthropic or Google, your chat messages are sent to that provider to produce the reply.
  • We share information if the law or a government authority requires it, or where it is needed to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Some of these providers may process information outside India, as the law permits.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an admission are deleted 24 months after the last activity on them.
  • Chats that did not lead to a callback request are deleted after 12 months. A chat linked to an enquiry is deleted along with that enquiry.
  • Enquiries that lead to an admission are kept with the admission record for as long as we need it and the law requires.
  • Backup copies are replaced on a rolling basis, usually within a few weeks.

You can ask us to delete your details sooner, as explained below.

How we protect it

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Enquiries and chats can be reached only through a password-protected admin login. No website can promise complete security, but if a breach affects your information we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your rights and choices

You can:

  • ask what information we hold about you and how we use it
  • ask us to correct or complete it
  • ask us to delete it
  • withdraw your consent at any time. We will stop contacting you about admissions, though it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to
  • make a complaint

To do any of these, call +91 93461 93397, or email Admin.2026@Akiran.com. See our grievance page for what happens next. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that we do not give your information to someone else.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update it here and show the new date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use details you already gave us, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
